US-169 Corridor Counts
22 intersections + 48 multi-day count & classification.
Completed in one week
Service
A volume count records the number of vehicles passing a point on a road segment by direction, usually over 24 or 48 hours in 15-minute intervals. Average daily traffic (ADT) and AADT are derived from it and feed HPMS reporting, pavement design, corridor studies and travel demand models.
Counts are collected with pneumatic road tubes or by vision-based, non-intrusive methods, and are reviewed independently before release.

Deliverables
| Intervals | 15-minute and hourly volumes by direction; daily totals; peak-hour factors |
|---|---|
| Duration | 24-hour, 48-hour, or multi-day per project requirements |
| Formats | Excel workbook, PDF summary, 15-minute raw files; web map, dashboard and State Plane shapefile on request |
| Turnaround | Corridor programs are routinely delivered in about one week |
| Recent scale | 48 multi-day locations on US-169 (Owasso, 2026); 14 ramp and mainline locations on I-40 (Oklahoma City, 2025) |
Corridor and area-wide studies, ramp and mainline balancing, HPMS and agency count programs, pavement design inputs, growth and seasonal comparisons, and any study that needs daily traffic on a segment rather than intersection movements.
ADT is the average daily volume over the days counted. AADT is annualised, adjusting a short count with seasonal and day-of-week factors from continuous count stations. TDS delivers the counted volumes and ADT; AADT factoring follows the agency's published factors when requested.
